G.O.A.T Sports AB (hereinafter referred to as GOAT) takes responsibility for personal data and how it is processed.

It is important that everyone who contacts us, visits us, uses our app or our websites and digital channels feels secure in how we handle personal data. This applies whether you are a customer, supplier, employee, consultant, candidate, or have any other relationship with GOAT.

Our privacy policy applies to all of GOAT’s channels and to all companies within the group. If any company within the GOAT group has a more specific privacy policy, it shall take precedence over GOAT’s policy.

GOAT has implemented technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. To ensure that personal data is processed securely and confidentially, GOAT uses data networks that are intrusion-protected, including firewalls and intrusion detection. To ensure the integrity of personal data collected through our digital channels, we use encryption technology when transmitting personal data over the Internet to our servers.

We take responsibility for ensuring that personal data processed by GOAT is used only for the intended purposes. All processing of personal data within GOAT is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. In the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies.

What are personal data, and what is the processing of personal data?

Personal data is any information that, directly or indirectly, in combination with other data, can be linked to a living physical person. This includes data such as names and contact information, IP addresses, contest entries, choices made, and behaviors.

Processing of personal data encompasses all actions taken with personal data. Any action taken with personal data constitutes processing, regardless of whether it is carried out automatically or not. Examples of processing may include data collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, processing, alteration, retrieval, reading, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or provision in other ways, adjustment, or combination, restriction, deletion, or destruction.

What personal data is processed, and when is it deleted?

We collect personal data when you use our digital channels, apps, services, or when communicating with GOAT. We may collect data such as names, addresses, postal addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, identification information, information about the use of GOAT’s services and products, and in some cases, transaction history. For certain services, we may also collect images and location information. In some cases, personal identification numbers and credit card information may also be processed. Furthermore, GOAT may collect technical data about the use of our digital channels, including IP addresses, browser types, and cookie information. This data collection occurs, for example, when users enter their personal information into various forms on our digital channels or use their services, when users communicate with GOAT and others via GOAT’s social media platforms, submit feedback through our contact forms or by phone, download documents from GOAT’s websites, or register for events organized by GOAT. If users participate in contests and other marketing activities organized by GOAT, contest entries and additional personal data provided by users may be processed by us.

If you visit or communicate with us through our social media accounts (i.e., third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), GOAT may receive information regarding your profile and interactions on the respective platform, and all such interactions are subject to the privacy policy of the relevant website.

For customers and suppliers, we handle contact persons’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, and, in some cases, dietary preferences (e.g., allergies). Other information may also be collected, subject to consultation and with specific consent.

As an employee, consultant, or candidate, we may process the following personal data about you: name, personal identification number, address, email address, grades, certificates, education and work experience, test results, images, background check information, reference information (reviews and health), salary information, control information, pension information, and account information.

GOAT does not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless otherwise required by law.

Sensitive information

We do not request or wish to receive any information about sensitive personal data (such as information concerning ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or beliefs, health condition, genetic or biometric information, criminal background, or trade union membership, etc.) via letter, email, or web forms.

Purposes of personal data processing

The personal data collected serves the following purposes:

To provide services and manage agreements with you. To provide an app. To communicate with you through customer service, email, letters, or forms and on our accounts on various social platforms. To administer marketing activities such as contests and prizes, among others. For marketing purposes, including postal and email marketing (which can always be opted out of via a link in each email). To analyze and group website visitors by selection, prioritization, and preferences. This involves profiling in order to provide you with relevant and customized information, recommendations, advertisements, and offers. Data originating from the use of various digital channels from GOAT and its group companies may also be combined for this purpose, as well as for developing products and services. To compile statistics on the use of our digital channels and their services. To process your or our payments and prevent or detect fraud. To secure our employees’ agreements. To facilitate future business relationships. To safeguard our candidates’ recruitment processes. To handle allegations of discrimination, disputes, and complaints. Legal basis and legitimate interests for personal data processing

GOAT always processes your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. We process your personal data when it is necessary to fulfill an agreement with you or to respond to your customer service request, or when we have another legitimate and lawful interest in processing your personal data. If GOAT were to process your personal data for a purpose that, according to applicable law, requires your consent, we will obtain your consent in advance, such as through actively checking a box or signing a consent form.

Limitations on the disclosure of personal data

GOAT may engage external partners and suppliers to perform tasks on behalf of GOAT, such as providing IT services, payment solutions, or assisting with marketing, analysis, or statistics. The performance of these services may entail that GOAT’s partners, both within the EU/EEA and outside the EU/EEA, may have access to your personal data. Companies that process personal data on behalf of GOAT always enter into agreements with GOAT to ensure the secure handling of personal data, even by our partners. Special protective measures, such as agreements including standard contractual clauses for data transfers adopted by the EU Commission, are taken in relation to partners outside the EU/EEA. GOAT does not disclose your personal data to anyone other than as described here.

Your right to withdraw consent and access

You can choose to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

You also have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can write to us and request a copy of the personal data we have about you. If you wish to do so, please include information that can help us identify and locate your personal data. We provide this service free of charge.

If you wish to receive physical copies, we may charge an administration fee.

Right to rectification, deletion, restriction, and objection to processing

It is important to us that we have correct information about you. Therefore, we welcome information about correcting incorrect information.
